Tours depart daily from Queenstown
Departing Queenstown at midday we venture through the rugged Kawarau gorge to visit four of the regions finest vineyards located in Bannockburn and the Gibbston Valley. Lunch is provided in the delightful setting of Carricks new winery overlooking Bannockburn Inlet. An excellent day out.

Our professional tour guides include Philip Green, UK WSET Diploma of Wine. Full Day tour including Lunch. Departing Queenstown at 9:30am
The tour takes in four to five outstanding vineyards from the Gibbston, Bannockburn and Alexandra areas, includes wine tastings, a tour of New Zealands largest wine cave and a tasting of excellent local cheeses . A fascinating insight into the region.
For lunch we relax in one of the regions excellent restaurants The Big Picture, Olivers of Clyde or Orchard Garden. The Big Picture is a new and unique wine and food experience including, fine cuisine, an Aroma Room and a virtual flight over Central Otago with a virtual meeting of the regions leading winemakers.

Aurum Wines produces estate grown Pinot Noir, Mathilde Reserve Pinot Noir, Madeleine Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Chardonnay as well as method Traditionelle Blanc de Blanc and dessert wines, The Tasting Room, situated in the original farm cottage, is surrounded by a fragrant old fashioned garden and also sells local products and Aurum Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Aurum wines (Aurum is Latin for gold) is a family owned and operated boutique winery established in 1997.

The hourly, guided wine tour takes you out amongst the vines, through the winery and then deep into the hillside where you can sample the wines in this surreal atmosphere. The rocky schist walls are lined with barrels of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, still reaching their prime. Tours operate hourly between 100am-4pm
