There are several river crossings over the Rees and Dart Rivers on this 3 1/2 hour ride with magnificent views towards the head of Lake Wakatipu with plenty of opportunities for some faster paced riding. This trip is not suitable for beginner/intermediate riders - experienced riders only. Departure from Glenorchy is at 9:15am.

The experienced to the inexperienced will enjoy the challenges of this magical ride.
Morning and afternoon departures from Glenorchy allow 3 hours for the horse ride. Dress warmly with long trousers and sturdy shoes.

After riding up the river braid we cross into some of Ben Lomonds flatter terrain. We crest the hill for a fantastic photo opportunity, then ride back to base around Moke Lake, a beautiful swimming and fishing spot.
